Jane brings her lifelong experience, training, and artistic eye to bear on the selection of artists she represents in the gallery. Her selection process is rigorous: “I seek to present work that is conceptually sound, meaningful, and captures the essence of intellect and creativity. Although each work must be technically accomplished, I look for a quality in the work that reveals ‘the hand of the artist'.” |

Jane Sauer, Owner/Director
Throughout her long career, Jane Sauer has been at the forefront in supporting creative artists who are not limited--in their vision or in the materials they use: “The field of art is ever-expanding, limited only by the range of the human imagination. Contemporary artists are redefining our notion of art, creating a fluid field that is not tied to traditionally recognized techniques or media.” |

Jorden Nye, Gallery Manager
|
|
Jorden Nye has an extensive, diverse background in the art world. He is currently our Gallery Manager and owned his own gallery in the early 1990s in Baltimore, Maryland. Jorden began collecting art in 1980 and now has over 300 artworks in his collection. In 2008, Jorden’s art collection was featured in a 6 page article in American Art Collector magazine, and again in 2009 in Santa Fean magazine. In addition to his art gallery experience, Jorden brings the unique perspective of an art collector to our gallery. He has an incredible track record of recognizing talented artists early in their career who later became nationally and internationally renowned artists. Jorden says that he is the perfect example that one doesn’t have to have enormous resources to develop a notable art collection. He purchased the majority of his artworks from galleries on time payments. Today, most of Jorden’s artworks could find a home in a number of art museums. |

Richard has been collecting art for over 30 years and maintains an extensive and varied art collection at his home in Santa Fe. He has a fine arts degree from Long Beach State University in Southern California.
Before joining Jane Sauer Gallery, he was art director for several consulting engineering firms in the Bay Area. He now presides over the creative development and maintenance of the gallery web site, plus various other marketing activities. In addition, he assists collectors selecting artworks for their collections. One day after an early morning discussion with Jane, she suggested "we finish the talk at home" (meaning the gallery) and that's what the gallery means not only for Richard, but many other collectors...."HOME." |
