CAROL ECKERT
Carol Eckert nimbly wraps DMC cotton embroidery floss around copper wire using her signature “figure eight” stitch. She delicately defines the flora and fauna of creation stories, parables and myths from cultures around the world. Carol is fascinated by the way stories can transcend cultural boundaries. She loves the “universal nature of animal symbolism” and uses these creatures to piece together her own narratives in cotton and wire.
