JANE CHAVEZ

Jane Chavez uses a traditional coiling technique combined with inventive stitching to create her distinctive horsehair baskets.  An interest in early Spanish metal work lead her to use her own hand stamped sterling silver as the base for these vessels.  Jane’s unique baskets have received a Trademark Design from the United States Patent and Trademark Office which protects the integrity of her art form.  Each basket is impeccably crafted and simply beautiful.  Her work seems to embody the spirit of the southwest.
