TIM HARDING
Tim Harding sews and slashes layers of opulently dyed silks to reveal a myriad of colors that dazzle the eye. “I use a unique, self-developed physical technique (a complex, free-reverse appliqué), which makes use of the intrinsic properties of my materials while creating an interesting interplay of surface and structure.” Harding manipulates layers of fabric and color to both obscure and reveal images beneath the surfaces of his sophisticated wall hangings. He repeats linear grids and wave patterns creating textures and forms that range from figurative to abstract based on techniques used by the Impressionists and Pointillists.
Harding's work is protected by registered copyright with the library of Congress.
